Souvenir shop on KU campus

The Kerala University has opened ‘Smaranika’, a souvenir shop, on its Senate House campus. Kerala Gandhi Smarak Nidhi working chairman Dr N Radhakrishnan inaugurated the eco-friendly shop built with bamboo and palm leaves. Coffee mugs, T-shirts and ‘valkannadi’ with images of the university will be available at the shop, the officials said.

Pictures and postcards of old manuscripts and campus sceneries are also on sale. The coffee mug costs Rs 150, ‘valkannadi’ Rs 250 and post card Rs 10.

Vice-Chancellor Dr A Jayakrishnan, Pro-vice-chancellor Dr J Prabhash, Syndicate members R S Sasikumar, Dr K L Vivekanandan and Dr Jolly Jacob, registrar-in-charge V Suresh Babu and Dr Achuthsankar S Nair attended the inaugural function. The sales at the counter will begin in November second week.
