Triveni godown gutted

Goods worth Rs 15 lakh were gutted in an early morning fire which broke out in the godown of Triveni supermarket near here on Saturday.

 The fire which erupted in the godown was noticed by the security staff of a nearby textiles shop. He informed the Attingal police and they alerted the Fire and Rescue Services.

 Three fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire before it spread to neighbouring shops and other parts of the supermarket. Fire and Rescue Services personnel said that the cause of the fire might have been short circuit.
