Nominated as member of delegation to UK

Dr G Kishore, principal, Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE),  here has been nominated as a member of the delegation to UK for attending the Youth Sport Trust (YST) school conference to be held in Loughborough,  UK,  from October 14 to 18.

R D Chauhan, director (Sports and PYKKA), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Prof G D Ghai,  director,  Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education (LNUPE), Gwalior,  have also been nominated as members of the team by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.

The Indian team will analyse the recent developments in school sports in UK, including the present UK Government’s flagship school sports strategy and school games.

The delegation will also study the status of 10 years of physical education and sports policy in British schools.

The team will interact with senior local and Central Government officials and visit the sports park in Loughborough, which houses the offices of over 20 leading sports organisations in the United Kingdom.
