Two SAT employees suspended

Two attenders of the SAT Hospital here, Vineetha and Raveendran, have been suspended for trying to sell a newborn child. The incident took place on October 15 after a woman from Pallimukku, in Kollam district, delivered a baby in the hospital. The woman told the attenders that she would not be able to look after the baby. According to the complaint lodged by the woman, the duo promised to sell the baby for Rs 20,000.  Later, she came to know that the attenders in turn were trying to sell the child for Rs 3 lakh. After coming to know about this, she approached the attenders and a heated argument took place over the price. The incident came to light after the woman lodged a complaint after the two parties bargained over the price. Police have registered a case and a probe is on.
