GKSF’s online quiz a big hit

The daily online quiz as part of the ongoing Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) has become a huge hit, going by indications. Housewives, students and professionals in urban centres to rural folks have emerged as winners of the quiz, hosted by actress Ann Alexia Anra.

Nidhun C Nair, a soldier in the Army on leave, is one such active participant in the online quiz. “I am so excited to have won a prize. I will keep on answering questions every day,” he says. Deepa, a housewife from Thiruvananthapuram, is equally thrilled. “This is a great opportunity for common people to participate and win exciting prizes,” she says.

‘’We have seen a tremendous response to the quiz. More importantly, the winners also reflect the popularity of the quiz among different sections of the society, varied classes and diverse locations. Like Nidhun or Deepa, most of the participants take part in the competition on a regular basis,’’ says GKSF Director U V Jose.

The quiz was introduced as a novel element of the ongoing sixth edition of South Indian Bank-GKSF. Ann, who shot into fame as a child actor in Kamal Hassan’s blockbuster movie ‘Avvai Shanmugi’, poses one question every day in this video quiz.  Each day’s question has four choices and one lucky winner from those getting the answer right will take home a brand new LG KGE 400 smartphone worth Rs 9,000. The first three individuals who get the most number of correct answers will receive an LG P705 smartphone worth Rs 22,000 as the Mega Prize. The quiz is sponsored by Mulamoottil Eye Hospital in partnership with www.indiavideo.org.
