Agriculture Assembly held at cotton hill

NSS, NCC cadets of the Government Higher Secondary School for Girls, Cotton Hill, organised an ‘Agriculture Assembly’ on Friday as a curtain-raiser to the state-level inauguration of the Comprehensive Vegetable Farming Programme of the Agriculture Department.

Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan will inaugurate the programme on Tuesday. The students of the school on Friday decided to set up a ‘Krishi Veedu’ on the school campus and to form a green army consisting of ten students from each class to welcome award-winning schools, farmers and students. 

Agriculture Joint Director B K Komalam inaugurated the ‘Agriculture Assembly’ on Friday.

The inaugural function of the Comprehensive Vegetable Farming Programme, scheduled to be held at 12.30 pm on Tuesday, will be presided over by Health Minister V S Sivakumar. Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Tharoor and Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb will be present on the occasion.
