Civil Service topper at ‘Mambazhakalam’

The Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan on Friday felicitated Civil Services topper Haritha V Kumar during the ‘Mampazhakalam’ summer camp here on Friday.

 Magician Gopinath Muthukad was the chief guest at the programme, named ‘Harithavismayam.’ A mango tree sapling was planted by Haritha on Samskrithi Bhavan compound. The sapling was named after her. Member Secretary Balu Kiriyath presided over the function. Executive Committee member Parassala Vijayan, K M Benny, N S Issac and Poovathur Sadasivan spoke.

 ADGP (Battalion) B Sandhya conducted a class on traffic and road laws for the students. Actor Maniyanpilla Raju was the guest at ‘Cinema Sallapam.’ Artists from Sopanam, the drama troupe of Kavalam Narayana Panicker, taught folk songs to the participants.

 The students later visited the honey and mango festival at Kanakakkunnu. They also toured Kuthira Malika, a palace built by Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma, near the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple. A basket of mangoes was presented to the students as a gift by the Agricultural Department at Kanakakkunnu.
