Following the arrest of three persons in connection with the violence at Edayar near Poonthura recently, tension prevailed at Vanchiyoor police station on Tuesday. According to police, three persons were taken into custody from the coastal area in connection with the clashes between the two sections at Edayar. Even though they were taken into custody by the Poonthura police, they were brought to Vanchiyoor police station following fears of tension at Poonthura. However, the relatives of those taken into custody reached the station and demanded their release. They alleged that the three were wrongly booked in the case. The tension was continuing till late in the night.
