KSTA takes out march

Members of the Left-affiliated Kerala School Teachers’ Association (KSTA) took out a Secretariat march on Saturday demanding an end to the government’s alleged policy of destroying general education sector.

Other demands of KSTA included ensuring free education, revoking the ongoing move to revise the curriculum and steps to ensure job security for teachers. The march was inaugurated by CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan. Thousands of teachers from various parts of the state participated in the march which was taken out from the Museum Junction. KSTA president K N Sukumaran presided over the function.
