Incinerator Getting New Owner

Express News Service

The mobile incinerator, which had left the city in early July 2013 after getting mired in controversies and confusions, is reaching the hands of Clean Kerala Company Limited, an initiative of the state government for integrated waste management.

A recent govt order has okayed handing over the ownership of the `2.19-crore machine to the company, which will take over the incinerator from Suchitwa Mission after clearing procedures associated with change of ownership. It is learnt that some rectifications were made in the machine regarding its efficiency and performance.  “Discussions will be carried out regarding the rectifications made in the machine and it would take some time to complete the procedures after receiving the govt order,” said Kabeer B Haroon, MD of Clean Kerala Company Ltd.
