HLL Lifecare’s CTC Launched

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: HLL Lifecare Limited has launched a Centre for Testing and Calibration (CTC) of biomedical and radiographic equipment, which will ensure that the medical equipment and machinery used in hospitals meet the quality and operational safety standards specified by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) and the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB).

As part of the launch, HLL conducted a day-long national seminar on Monday to create awareness among doctors, engineers and hospital administration staff about the need of safety testing and calibration of medical equipment.

Inaugurating the seminar, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology director M Radhakrishna Pillai said: “We need to ensure that biomedical and radiological equipment in our health institutions are professionally tested and calibrated”.
