Cheers were loud for each and everyone who represented various zones - east, west, south, north and north east.
On Thursday, at Shangumugham beach, the competitions began at 7 am with participants active in the life-saving events. Around 50 persons participated in the event as part of the Kerala Multi Sports Beach Festival 2014.
According to the organisers, life-saving events are meant to inspire people to save lives.
Other than the life-saving event there were netball and beach football competitions in the evening.
