THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The P Kesavadev Trust on Friday announced that Perumbadavam Sreedharan will be awarded the 10th P Kesavadev Literary Award instituted by the Trust in memory of the late novelist. The 10th edition of the award which was first instituted in 2005 will be presented during the birth anniversary celebrations of Kesavadev on August 4 at Mascot Hotel here. Perumbadavam Sreedharan was chosen by a jury headed by Geroge Onakkoor comprising Seethalakshmi Dev, Deshamangalam Ramakrishnan and Vijayakrishnan.
Meanwhile, the Diabscreen Kerala P Kesavadev Award for contribution to medicine will be awarded to Dr K R Sunilkumar, who produced a musical dance drama titled ‘Venpiravukal’ to create awareness of dengue fever among the public.
Sunilkumar was chosen by a jury consisting of Dr N Ahmed Pillai, P G Balagopal, Jyothidev Kesavadev.
