Safety Measures: Railway Team's Cycle Rally Flagged Off

A cycling rally by the Railway cycling team to spread awareness on safety measures to be adopted at level crossings was flagged off by Thiruvananthapuram Division’s Additional Divisional Railway Manager P Mahesh at the Central Railway Station here on Tuesday.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A cycling rally by the Railway cycling team to spread awareness on safety measures to be adopted at level crossings was flagged off by Thiruvananthapuram Division’s Additional Divisional Railway Manager P Mahesh at the Central Railway Station here on Tuesday.The rally is being organised by the Safety Department of the Southern Railway in connection with ‘International Level Crossing Awareness Week’. The team will pedal to Tirunelveli and spread message on safe practices at level crossings.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager V C Sudeesh, Senior Divisional Safety Officer K Vijayakumar, Sports Officer K M Beenamol and Kerala State Sports Council president Padmini Thomas were present during the flagging off.

The team will cover Mottamoodu, Balaramapuram Neyyattinkara and Eraniel stations and towns on Tuesday.
