Devotees of Mata Amritanandamayi took out protest marches across the state against the alleged conspiracy to defame the Mata Amritanandamayi Math through allegations levelled against the spiritual leader and the Math by a former disciple in a book.
In the capital, Amritaseva Samithi unit and various Hindu organisations took out the protest march on Saturday from Press Club to Palayam. Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram director P Parameswaran inaugurated the function at Palayam. The protest meet was attended by leaders from political, social and cultural fields.
