It is the newly developed android app, ‘Today’s Cinema’ that enables you to access the details. The app provides all information regarding the films in 500 movie theatres across the state. “The app enables a district or locality-wise search of films. This is a free app working on android platform,” says the app developer Naveen Naushad. Besides the show timings, the app presents before the user a database comprising story, cast, crew and duration. It is integrated with the internet movie data base (IMBD) and also gives movie ratings.
Through the integrated video player, trailer can be accessed from YouTube. A one-touch call button helps contacting the theatres directly. Both the app maker and website content provider are looking into providing the cinema timings of major cities such as Chennai and Bangalore of neighbouring states in the near future.
