THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a seminar on ‘Consumer rights - Products & services - opportunities & challenges’ at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn here on Friday. The seminar will be held to educate today’s consumer on their rights and what they need to consider while choosing a particular product.
Deliberations will be held on current issues pertaining to consumer rights in India and particularly in Kerala. It includes various initiatives being taken up by Kerala Government to protect consumer rights and the way forward on consumer rights protection. The topics that will be covered include Consumer Protection, Misleading Promotions and Liability, Alternate Dispute Redressal Mechanism, International Consumer Policy and Standardisation.
