Temple to be Renovated

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Devaswom Minister V S Sivakumar has said that Palkulangara Sri Bhagavathy Temple will renovated at expense of Rs 32 lakh. He was delivering the inaugural address at a function organised as part of renovation of the roof of sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

The temple pond will also be renovated at an expense of Rs 18 lakh and will included in the government’s scheme to protect small temples and ponds. The Minister also said that the roof of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple was renovated at a cost of Rs 10 lakh. Ward councillors P Padmakumar, P Ashok Kumar, Devaswom Board chief engineer G Muraleekrishnan, M Kesavankutty Nair and S Jayakumar were also present at the function.
