The first preview of Malayalam film 'Savam'(Corpse) will be held at the Children's Park Theatre, Kochi, on the 28th of November. Dr. Biju and Prakash Bare will attend the screening organised by Cochin Film Society. The film, a dark comedy, is shot entirely in black and white. Don Palathara, the writer and director of 'Savam', is a former student of International Film School, Sydney and had directed several short films and documentaries before his first feature film venture.

The film features more than 40 new talents and is shot at a single location. The film uses location recording of sound which is not a very common practise in Malayalam films these days. Cinematography of 'Savam' is by Prathap Joseph and sound design of the film is by Sandeep Kurissery and Jiji Joseph. The film is edited by Naranipuzha Shanavas and produced by Shijo K George, Aneesh Chacko and Molly P M under the banner of Travancore films. As an experimental film that uses only one location and very minimal resources, 'Savam' tries to communicate through the cinematic medium without the use of a dramatic narrative. The film will be released through Kazhcha film forum's Cinema Cab.
