Sri Lankan Team Visits SSA Office

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The URC South office of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan had a group of uncommon visitors recently. The team included a set of officials from the Education Department of the Sri Lankan government.

The aim of the visit by the group of 30 officials was to study the functioning of SSA in the city and the new initiatives and steps taken in the area of education. They also conducted a tour at the Research and Development Centre for Autistic Children located on the premises.

According to Suresh, SSA trainer, “ The team had come here to study the functioning of SSA, and had a discussion with the SSA members on the constructive syllabus adopted at government schools here and the strategies and methods used in education. A team from Andhra Pradesh had visited the office long back, but this is the first time that a team from a neighbouring island nation is visiting.”
