THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: HLL Lifecare Limited has opened a Sunday diabetic clinic at the Hindlabs Diagnostic Centre and Specialty Clinic functioning at the Trida Complex opposite Medical College. The Sunday clinic provides doctor consultation and other services, including blood glucose tests, Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c) and creatine tests. The package is priced at Rs 500. Headed by Dr Dinesh Prabhu, the clinic offers screening tests for early detection of diabetes and also offers post diabetic tests for diabetic patients.
“Almost 80 per cent of Malayalees are either office employees or do business related work, leaving them free only on Sundays. Hindlabs considered the convenience it would bring to patients in starting this initiative,” HLL CMD RP Khandelwal said. Prabhu said that the development of IT sector had increased the number of diabetic patients and the Sunday clinic was also aimed at this group of professionals.
