The new concept of magic tourism venture has been mooted by magician Gopinath Muthukad and aims to explore the mounting significance of tourism in the state and thereby attract visitors from all parts of the world.

Moideen said Muthukad had rehabilitated several street magicians and circus artists from various parts of the country for the venture.

“Muthukad has been doing a commendable job in promoting tourism through magic. His new venture where magic and circus join hands will also be successful,” he said.

Assembly Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan also inaugurated a yearlong social action plan that Magic planet proposes to implement in the coming year. It includes new initiative for rehabilitating neglected circus artists, thereby ensuring daily performances for their rare talents.

The programme also includes magical acts to impart concepts of science and mathematics among children at an early age. A majority of legislators were present at the function to watch the performances of street magicians.

Daily acts depicting the wonders of magic, interspersed with special acts of circus artists, would be showcased at Magic Park.
