THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Come this Saturday, food lovers and tourists can relish ethnic Kerala dishes at ‘Sayahna’ Garden Restaurant located in the lush green environs of Mascot Hotel, the premium heritage property of the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC). The garden restaurant underwent a major renovation recently and is all set to welcome guests from 5 pm to 11 pm on all days.

Variety of dosas, puttu, cutlet, uzhunnu vada, kothu parotta, omlette, banna fry, chicken churuttu and ila ada are the major attractions. Different types of fresh juice, ice cream and pudding also add to the fare.
Sayahna, which has been re-positioned as an ideal garden restaurant where families can spend their evening, will be thrown open to the public by KTDC Chairman M Vijayakumar on Saturday.

“The re-launch of Sayahna Garden restaurant will coincide with the start of Kumarakom Food Festival which will be on till September 2,” Managing Director Rahul R said. The guests can enjoy Kumarakom chicken curry, pearl spot fry, prawn ularthu, Kuttanadan fish curry, beef roast and duck ‘shaapu’ curry in the colourful and aromatic ambiance of the garden which has local ‘thechi’, ‘mandaram’, ‘rajamalli’ and ‘gandharajan’ plants in full bloom.
