THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MG College principal M R Sudarsanakumar has appealed to the students’ organisations to withdraw from their moves discrediting the college. In a statement here on Monday, the principal said the recent untoward incidents that occurred at the college gate have sparked fear among parents and students.

The principal said the issue would affect the ongoing admissions and the third stage of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation for the college. He reminded the High Court had banned student politics on campuses in 2013.

Afterwards, there was a commendable progress in academics. Classes weren’t disrupted for even a single day and students had bagged about 20 university ranks. Last year, the college was one of the three colleges in the state rated by the NAAC as ‘college with potential for excellence.’
