Kerala will push Centre on resolving truck strike: Transport Minister A K Saseendran

The minister told the meeting that the issues raised by truck owners could be resolved only by the Central government.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government will put pressure on the Centre for settling the ongoing truckers strike, Transport Minister A K Saseendran said. The minister had a meeting with representatives of the Kerala State Lorry Owners’ Welfare Federation here on Wednesday.

The minister told the meeting that the issues raised by truck owners could be resolved only by the Central government. The state has already sent a letter to Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on the issue.
The minister said complaints against State Motor Vehicles Department officers will be examined thoroughly.

Transport Commissioner K Padmakumar, Federation president K K Hamsa and general secretary K Balachandran attended the meeting.
