VIJAYAWADA: A Fire broke out in ‘Atma Lubricants and Speciality Limited’, a lubricant oil manufacturing company, at Autonagar on Wednesday. According to sources, owner of Atma Lubricants Ch Naga Srinivasa Rao registered the company around 20-years ago and did not apply for renewal. Although they were working with inflammable material, the industry did not have any fire safety equipment, said a fire officer.
No casualty was reported in the fire accident as it happened early in the morning at around 7 am. The neighbours saw flames erupting from the building’s first floor and alerted the fire service and local police personnel. Six fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
Several policemen and firemen struggled for over two hours to put out the flames.
