Calligraphy exhibition draws crowd in Vijayawada

VIJAYAWADA: HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao inaugurated a calligraphy exhibition titled  ‘Chandranna Kalam’ at Madhu Malaxmi Complex here on Wednesday.Students from various educational institutions displayed their calligraphy artwork, which includes calligraphy Quran, Bible, Bhagavad Gita and NTR history.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said, “Calligraphy is not just an art of writing. It is an art which can change one’s fortune as it can provide employment to any skilled artists. The hidden talents in the children can be brushed up with the Chandranna Kalam exhibition.”

Karimullah, chairman of Limra organisation of Narasaraopet, a self made calligraphy artist, and his team of other artists trained the students in calligraphy. Interested candidates will be taught calligraphy art for seven days.
