VIJAYAWADA: IT Minister and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh has said the party’s election campaign for the 2019 election would be launched from NTR Bhavan in Vijayawada. He laid the foundation stone for the building here on Saturday.
Addressing party workers on the occasion, he said since its inception more than three decades ago, the TDP has been in the forefront when it comes to taking care of its cadre. “We have allocated `60 crore for accident insurance and `23 crore for party workers’ welfare. No other party in India has taken such welfare initiatives for party workers,” he said and attributed entire credit to party supremo Naidu.
Not mentioning the names of either YSRC chief Jaganmohan Reddy and Janasena chief Pawan, he found fault with both of them for their “baseless” allegations against him. “If you have guts, prove your allegations,” he thundered.
