I am a Class XII student. I perform well academically and consider myself mature but my mother is mentally-challenged. Sometimes, I feel the absence of a good mother. I get angry sometimes and scold her too. How do I handle this situation?
There is not much you can do about your mothers behaviour. It is not under your control. By scolding her you are only wasting your energy and spoiling your peace of mind. Start accepting her as she is. You will find a whole new way of thinking and dealing with her will become easier. The more you resist to accept the fact that she has a disability, the more frustrated you will be and you will continue to have such outbursts.
I’m a Class IX student and find it difficult to study maths. I solve problems while revising before exams. But during the examination, I forget everything. I used to study very well till now, but in Class IX I am failing continuously in maths. My half-yearly exam starts this December and I want to pass. Can you please suggest a way to study maths as well as to sharpen my memory?
You seem to be having an aversion towards maths which seems to have developed over time. If you are getting all answers right at home and not in the exam hall, then it seems more likely that the intense tension is causing a performance anxiety. You need to learn and practise relaxation consistently. If it does not subside with therapy, then you need to consult a mental health professional at the earliest.
