Youth4work, a job portal for young Indians conducted a survey on average salary of a fresher. After analysing sample sizes from different streams, the network has come up with the following key findings pertaining to major industries.

In marketing, the average salary offered to a fresher is Rs 3.2 lakh per annum. Fresher jobs with a work experience of 0-3 years are provided a salary of Rs 30,000 up to Rs 4.7 lakh per annum.

In MBA fresher jobs, the average salary is Rs 3.6 lakh per annum. Fresher jobs with a work experience of 0-3 years commanded a salary of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20 lakh per annum.

In BTech fresher jobs, the average salary offered is Rs 3.7 lakh per annum. Fresher jobs with a work experience of 0-3 years draw a salary of Rs 10,000 to Rs 8 lakh per annum.

In internships in Delhi, the average salary is Rs 2.3 lakh. Fresher jobs with a work experience of 0-3 years get a pay packet of Rs 10,000 to Rs 6 lakh per annum.

Commenting on the survey, Rachit Jain, founder, Youth4work, says, “The survey was conducted among the registered 50,000 youth with Youth4work. An e-mail survey questionnaire was sent to the registered individual. As we have most of the details with us, our team started preparing the data at a early stage. Rest of the details were filled when we received the individual answers. The survey aims to understand the trend among the fresher jobs across various industries”.
