If you haven’t witnessed a singer and song become one, then watching this versatile singer perform live on stage can help change that notion. 34-year-old Job Kurian has been a part of Kerala’s music industry as a playback singer and live performer for more than ten years now and has lent his voice for over 25 Malayalam films.
Job was blessed to be born into a family where singing came as a natural gift. He says humbly, “I was fortunate that my family, especially my father, had great interest in music and took me to Surendran Sir for Carnatic music classes.” Though trained in music from his school days, he found his true calling while studying engineering at Malnad College of Engineering, where his passion was well supported.

After college, Job went on to become a vocalist in the band Green Heart, which performed regularly at the Uday Samudra Hotel in Kovalam. When Amrita TV’s singing reality show SuperStar was announced, he auditioned and soon became one of the most celebrated singers even though he was only the runner-up that season. The show put him on the music business map and he has never looked back.
