HYDERABAD: TPCC chief spokesperson and Congress candidate for Khairatabad constituency Dasoju Sravan staked claim for late leader P Janardhan Reddy’s (PJR) legacy and expressed confidence that Congress would score a thumping victory against TRS, as pink party fielded a ruffian and land grabber Danam Nagendar. Sravan has been selected by Congress High Command for Khairatabad springing up a surprise. As he is filing nomination on Monday, Congress’s chief spokesperson came down heavily on Danam Nagender.
“Danam Nagender is saying that he gave money to someone to ensure that I get Congress ticket, which is baseless. Danam worked as a driver and later came up doing land grabbing and other illegal activities.”
“It was because of the mental torture caused by Nagender that PJR died. I’m not a ruffian or land grabber like Nagender. He will not win in Khairatabad even if he spends Rs 100 crore. Congress cadre will teach a lesson to Danam in this election. I’ll fulfil the aspirations of PJR and work for the development of Khairatabad after winning,” said Sravan while speaking at Gandhi Bhavan. Khairatabad was represented by late PJR in the past. The late leader had so much popularity in the area that mentioning PJR’s name rings a bell with the people here till date.
