A new show, Arrey Deewano Mujhe Pehchano, is premiering on January 2. It’s one more in the basket of reality shows. Star Plus promises that this show will be free from clichés of emotional outbursts at eliminations and unnecessary melodrama, and will have a rich dose of laughter and fun.
Premiering on January 2 at 10 p.m., it will have a fusion of celebrities in disguises, tricks, fun and laughter. Each episode will be packed with humour created by the ensemble celebrity cast. The format of the series is that of a comedy show created with candid cameras and playing silly pranks on unsuspecting subjects.
This platform will have eight celebrities — Gulshan Grover, Mahesh Manjrekar, Divya Dutta, Rakhi Sawant, Mandira Bedi, Mona Singh, Yash Tonk and Shweta Keswani.
Actor Kavita Kaushik is the anchor. Gulshan Grover is making his television debut with this show. Divya has a well-kept secret — she is a great mimic and this will be a facet that she will explore to the hilt in Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano.
A live animated character, Ghadhashri will be there too.

The celebs will hoodwink everyone using disguise at pre-decided locations. The disguise is not just in terms of costumes and make-up but also the overall acting ability, mannerisms and their accents. There will be no eliminations in this show.
