Rahil Azam is believed to be one of the most versatile actors in the world of tellydom. The very name of the serial Hatim sums up the popularity of this small screen actor. Hailing from Bangalore, he came to Mumbai in the year 1999 and was all set to be a software engineer but destiny has something else in store for him.

Acting happened to him by chance and he instantly shot to the limelight with his serial Yeh Meri Life Hai. Things followed suit and he became the next famous super hero for the Indian tele world with Hatim. "Playing the title role in a serial happens only once ina decade with television, it is indeed big, further Hatim was just apt for me,” says a satisfied Rahil, who is these days busy with a new serial. So whats the new soap all about? ‘‘I wish I coud tell you more, but I have been asked not to divulge anything as of now, I am myself so eager to tell,” he said. "See its going to another daily soap and I am once again playing a contrasting role. People will see a new side of mine,” he reveals.

The actor also expressed his wish to do a comic caper, he feels that it is one of his strengths. "People don’t know that I can do some good comic roles, well this side will also be seen in my upcoming serial,” says Rahil. He would not mind doing saans-bahu flicks as well as they have tended to strike the summit in the TRP ratings.
