The award was given to the 34-year-old by People Magazine, reports contactmusic.com.

The news was announced on Tuesday's episode of “The Voice” and it surfaced online via People magazine's twitter account.

"Here he is, your Sexiest Man Alive - ADAM LEVINE!(sic)," the tweet read.

The singer also shared his feelings after winning the title.

"As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn't really think that this was on the table. I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren't, so that's cool,” he wrote.
