'Modern Family' bags outstanding comedy series award

The team of comedy show "Modern Family" was ecstatic after it won the award for outstanding comedy series at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards here Sunday.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the show has bagged the award for best comedy series at Emmy.

The sitcom follows three generations of a diverse and affluent Southern California family.

"Modern Family" director Gail Mancuso, also took back home the trophy of outstanding director for a comedy series.

The show features actors Sofia Vergara, Ed O'Neill, Julie Bowen and Eric Stonestreet among others.
