NEW YORK: Actors Sean Penn and Mickey Rourke who have been nominated in the 'Best Actor' category for this year's Oscars have ended a very public feud that erupted when Rourke publicly criticised Penn's performance in the film 'Milk'.
Rourke who won a Golden Globe for his performance in the film 'The Wrestler' had made small of Penn's acclaimed performance by saying, "I'm not even sure he'll get a nomination," while back stage at the David Letterman Show.
Now that both of them have received Oscar nominations, Rourke and Penn have decided to bury the hatchet, and were seen together in Los Angeles after Rourke apologised to Penn, the New York Post reported.
Earlier Rourke had reportedly sent some depreciating text messages to Hollywood insiders.
The message read, "I didn't buy his performance at all. Thought he did an average job of pretending like he was gay besides he's one of the most homophobic people I know."
