Yes, you read the headline right. Star of the hit TV series 'Friends', Matthew Perry, in his recent appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' revealed that he had beaten up Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau when they were in school.

Matthew Perry claimed that when he was studying in fifth grade at Ottawa primary school, he and his friend Chris Murray had beaten up present Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau who was his junior at school as a result of pure jealousy.

Speaking to host Jimmy Kimmel he said, "I think he (Justin Trudeau) was excelling at a sport that we weren't, so it was pure jealousy. And, you know, we beat him up."

He continued, "His dad (Pierre Trudeau) was the prime minster of Canada, but I don't think that’s the reason we beat him up. I think he was the only kid in school we could beat up."

Justin Trudeau (45) was two years junior to Matthew Perry. Matthew moved from USA to Canada with his mother after his parents split when he was a child.

The Friends star even went on to joke that the beating he gave Trudeau was the reason behind his rise in politics. "I think it was rather instrumental in him (Justin Trudeau) going to such big heights and becoming the Prime Minister," he said.

When Jimmy Kimmel asked whether he had stayed in touch with Trudeau, Matthew said, "No. I feel shame. I don't want to think about it."
