LOS ANGELES: Actor Bruce Willis became the latest target of Comedy Centrals annual roast here, with his ex wife turning up to join in on the abuse.

After enduring jokes from roasters like Kevin Pollak, Edward Norton, Cybill Shepherd, Lil Rel Howery and Martha Stewart, Willis got an earful from Moore, who was brought on as a surprise guest for the roast that was taped at the Hollywood Palladium here, reports ew.com.

Moore seemed to enjoy making fun of her 12-year union to Willis while their three daughters - Rumer, Scout and Tallulah - clapped and howled from the audience.

"I was married to Bruce for the first three 'Die Hard' movies, which makes sense because the last two sucked," Moore quipped.

"Bruce considered the end of our marriage his biggest failure. Bruce, don't be so hard on yourself, you had much bigger failures. 'Planet Hollywood', 'Hudson Hawk'... campaigning for Michael Dukakis, turning down Clooney's role in 'Ocean's Eleven' to focus on playing the harmonica."

Roast master Joseph Gordon-Levitt kicked off the show with a few witty remarks.

"Bruce can play anyone from an a**hole cop to an a**hole ex-cop."

Then comedians Jeff Ross, Nikki Glaser and Dom Irrera and retired professional basketball player Dennis Rodman had their chance. A number of jokes involved US President Donald Trump, as well as producer Harvey Weinstein and actor Kevin Spacey, who are facing sexual harassment allegations, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"If you were to do 'American History X' today, not only would you win the Oscar, but also a Cabinet position," Pollak joked to Norton.

"Trump told me ('American History X') was his all-time favourite comedy," Ross quipped.

When it was Willis' turn, he told Norton: "You've rubbed more people the wrong way than Harvey Weinstein."
