IT was clearly an emotional moment for director Saran at the audio launch of 'Modhi Vilayadu' which is now ready after a long gap. In a rare gesture of gratitude, Saran declared the audio would be released not by the customary VIP but by the press. So the audio CD plate was passed around to every media invitee before reaching senior journalist Devi Mani who then went on stage to join the producers and crew to release the audio. In an emotional speech, Saran declared his thanks to everyone in his team including his assistants Karthik and Saravanan apart from his wife, kids and parents for being supportive in the tough times he recently went through. "But Vairamuthu is my backbone. He encouraged me throughout and wrote the title song for me and not the hero! It was meant to energise me to rise above my problems and complete the film," said Saran. "I want to work with Vinay again. I admire his dedication and the way he learnt Tamil and dubbed for himself," declared Saran. Vairamuthu was present to cheer his good friend, "Saran got cheated and ran into debts. But he has made a great comeback." S Ramakrishnan the dialogue writer revealed, "This film is about how youth can overcome challenges and win in life." The film stars Vinay and Kajal Agarwal. Four songs were screened for invitees which included music directors Harihran and Leslie, Yuhi Sethu, S Ramakrishnan, Sunita Sarathy, Mysskin, producer Surya Rajkumar and Vinay.
