CHENNAI: Although she made a fabulous debut with the blockbuster hit ‘Thirudaa Thirudee’, Chaya Singh soon became a rare entity on the Tamil screens. The actress then began concentrating on Kannada and Malayalam films, where she was doing reasonably well.

She was recently seen in Tamil in director Madhumita’s ‘Vallamai Thaarayo’ with Parthiban and the horror film ‘Ananthapurathu Veedu’’ with Nanda in the lead. Just when offers began to come in again, the actress has announced that she will soon be making her debut in Bengali.

When asked why she almost disappeared from Tamil after ‘Thirudaa Thirudee’, she said that she didn’t want to constantly repeat herself because all the roles that came to her were of the same type.

The actress is very much excited about making her debut in Bengali. She says that the film’s plot revolves around her character, of a daughter-in-law who ardently strives to uplift her family from deplorable conditions.
