Shoot Begins for Kavalai Vendam, Jiiva's Next Movie

The shooting of Kavalai Vendam, which features actors Jiiva and Bobby Simha in the lead, began in Coonoor on Monday. The film will see Kajal Aggarwal playing Jiiva’s love interest for the first time. Other members of the cast include Sunaina, Shruthi Ramakrishna of 144 fame, Mandra, RJ Balaji, Bala Saravanan, Mayil Samy and Motta Rajendran.

Deekay, who shot to fame after making Yaamirukka Bayamey, is directing the film, while Leon James has been roped in to score the music. Abinanthan, who formerly assisted cinematographer KV Anand, has been signed on as the cameraman for this film, which is being produced by Elred Kumar of R S Infotainment.

 Sources close to the unit of the film say that Kavalai Vendam primarily deals with human emotions. “The film emphasises the significant role break-ups and patch-ups play in one’s life. Kavalai Vendam deals with the unsaid and ignored parts of relationships and break ups,” says a source. “Casting assumes significance in this film and has been done keeping the script in mind. This script is fantastic. Not a single person will leave the theatre, without being able to relate to the basic plot of the film.”
