Aamir Khan was in the receiving end of criticism after he lashed out at AIB calling it a “violent event”. Indian-Canadian standup comedian Russell Peters commented recently saying that Aamir Khan should not talk about things he doesn’t understand.

“Seriously, who is he, the so-called artist, to say that he found it violent and that AIB and rest involved should have been responsible? He did not even see it! Someone please ask him to shut up and take care of his own business,” he stated during his interview with a leading daily.

He further added by questioning if people even understood what the concept of roast is. Russell states that Indians are mostly confused about what they get angry about. He added, “You know, it’s funny, the things we get angry about. We don’t get pissed when a politician comes up on stage and lies on our faces, but we get angry when someone speaks the truth.” Russell Peters stated.

The PK star previously said "I was most disappointed in what I was hearing. I completely believe in freedom of speech but we have to understand that we all have a certain responsibility. When I heard what was being told to me, it was a very violent event.”

Other celebrities who disagreed with ‘Mr Perfectionist’ are director Anurag Kashyap, PK co-star Anushka Sharma and Pooja Bhatt.
