Vidya Balan's next release is Vishesh Films' produced "Hamari Adhuri Kahaani," directed by Mohit Suri, opposite Emraan Hashmi. While Vidya has worked with Emraan in "Ghanchakkar" and "The Dirty Picture" before she never thought he would do a film with hit under the Bhatt banner.

Her choice of films is very different from what the Bhatt films stand for, and so it was a surprise for her as much as it was for her fans that she signed a film with production house. "I never thought I would do a Vishesh Films' film. Their kind of films is very different from mine. So I was so thrilled when I got that call to be a part of this film because I said in my head 'one more tick mark'. And a very special one at that," said Vidya at a press conference held to promote "Hamari Adhuri Kahaani."

Vidya was also thrilled that she got to work with Mahesh Bhatt. "Bhatt saab stopped writing films before I started acting. So this film gave me a chance to work with him because he has written it," said Vidya.
