MUMBAI : Though, as of now, it is not known whether they will share a frame in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s “Wazir,” John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh are reunited in this film after working together in Aditya Chopra’s “New York” (2009). “Wazir” is being directed by Bejoy Nambiar.
The details of their characters have been kept under wraps, and the makers are planning to keep their roles a surprise. Farhan Akhtar plays an ATS cop in this film, which is the revamped Hindi version of a film Chopra planned to produce and direct in English with Amitabh Bachchan and that was launched with a lavish muhurat in the early 2000s but was never finally made.
Mukesh is set to play the villain but for some reason, will be billed as “A Special Appearance.” He has worked with the director before in “David.”
Bachchan and Akhtar are the protagonists in this movie co-produced by Rajkumar Hirani, written by Abhijat Joshi and also starring Aditi Rao Hydari. Shantanu Moitra scores the music.
