Peepli Live actor Sitaram Panchal passes away

Actor Sitaram Panchal, famous for his roles in films like 'Peepli Live', 'Paan Singh Tomar' and 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh'  passed away on Thursday morning.

Actor Sitaram Panchal, famous for his roles in films like 'Peepli Live', 'Paan Singh Tomar' and 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh'  passed away on Thursday morning. He was 54.

The actor was suffering from cancer and was bedridden for a year. His condition had deteriorated and in need of support, he posted on his Facebook page asking wellwishers to lend a hand to their 'actor brother'. 

Only a day before his death had Sitaram's son, Rishabh Panchal posted a picture of him with his parents on Facebook wishing them on their 26th marriage anniversary.

An alumnus of National School of Drama, New Delhi, Sitaram Panchal made his debut in films with Shekhar Kapur's 'Bandit Queen' in 1994 and went on to star in films like 'Peepli Live', 'Paan Singh Tomar' and 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
