The Ghazi Attack film is said to be India’s first underwater film. This bilingual is based on Naval warfare and the submarine named Ghazi that was mysteriously sunk in the 1971 war.

The film is directed by debutant director Sankalp Reddy, it is narrated by Amitabh Bachchan and stars Rana Daggubati, Kaykay Menon, Atul Kulkarni and Taapsee Pannu.

A unit member revealed that “Rana Daggubati will be playing the character of LT. Commander Arjun Verma who stayed underwater for 18 days during the Indo-Pak war in 1971 and Taapsee Pannu’s character in the film is an extended cameo.” Ghazi will also mark as Om Puri’s last film.
