Salman Khan’s Eid release Tubelight, is likely to release in Pakistan. The makers of the film have issued an official statement regarding this. Amar Bhutala, COO of Salman Khan Films and co-producer says, “Salman Khan Films is committed to taking Tubelight to markets across the globe with our overseas distributors Yashraj Films. Salman has a huge fan following in Pakistan, which has only grown with positive messaging on Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

We hope to release Tubelight in Pakistan as well and our efforts continue in that direction, but we respect the law of the land and judiciary if they decide otherwise.”

Last year the screening of Indian films were banned in Pakistan after Pakistani artistes were banned in India, post Uri attack on Indian soldiers. However, earlier this year the government in Pakistan decided to lift the ban. In the past Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger could not be screened at Pakistan since Katrina Kaif was shown playing an ISI agent.

Kabir Khan’s Tubelight is set against Sino-Indian war; it stars Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu and is co-produced by Salman Khan, Salma Khan and others.
