Salman Khan announces 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali' as his 2021 release

The 54-year-old actor took to Twitter to announce the movie which will be written and produced by filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala.

MUMBAI: Salman Khan has teamed up with producer Sajid Nadiadwala for an upcoming film titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The film will be directed by Farhad Samji and be released on Eid 2021. The story has been penned by Sajid, whose writing credits inculde Housefull (2010), Housefull 2 (2012), Kick (2014), and Lai Bhaari (2014). 

Salman and Sajid have previously collaborated on Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jaan-E-Maan, and Kick. Besides the new film, the actor-producer duo is expected reunite for Kick 2. 

Salman Khan was last seen in Dabangg 3. He is presently working on Radhe, an action-thriller inspired by the South Korean film The Outlaws.

The upcoming release is directed by Prabhudheva and also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff. Additionally, Salman is expected to reunite with directors Sooraj Barjatiya and Kabir Khan on their upcoming projects. 

The title of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali suggests a theme of communal harmony. Salman’s 2015 film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, was similarly titled.
