BANGALORE: Vemagal Jagannatha Rao, who has been making movies since 1985, has come out with one more Kannada movie Chinnada Thaali. As the title suggests, Chinnada Thaali is all about the Hindu tradition and culture. It also conveys a message to the society, especially the youth, on the importance of arranged marriage.
Tilak, Tungasree and Swetha are the important characters in this movie. “I have taken care to ensure all the elements that are needed to keep the audience glued to their seats. It is a sentiment and family-oriented movie,” says Rao, who handled the megaphone for Thulasidala, more than 20 years ago.
Expressing his happiness on getting a chance to play the lead role in this movie, Thilak said that he had put up his best efforts to do justice for his selection as a hero. It may be recalled that Thilak played the lead role in Ganda Hendathi in which spicy Sanjana was the heroine. “It is my ninth movie. I hope the audience will encourage me by watching it,” says Thilak.
Tungasree plays the role of an obedient wife, Swetha has acted as the lover of the hero who falls in love with him without knowing his background. “I am from a family that follows Hindu tradition and culture. My character in the movie has many similarities with my real life. I prefer to marry the groom selected by my parents. I am against love marriages. I have seen many couples, married without their parents’ consent, opting for divorce within a few years of their marriage. I advise the youth not to fall in love and waste time,” says Tungasree.
Chalapathi has provided the script and the screenplay. Listo Media Entertainment Private Limited, that made Varshedhare a few years ago, is the producer of this movie.
